As Secretary of Public Relations, Persephone Zografos-Koegl leads the efforts to shape and manage NCSL’s public image. She oversees communication strategies and works to keep both internal members and the broader community engaged. Her role includes running social media outreach, creating promotional materials, and making sure messaging stays consistent across all platforms.

For the 89th legislative year, the Office of Public Relations will focus on expanding NCSL’s presence and engagement across a wider range of platforms. This includes exploring newer spaces like TikTok to connect with current/upcoming college students through fun, educational videos. At the same time, the office will bring fresh energy to platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn to better reach alumni, civic leaders, and potential sponsors. Efforts will also be made to create a unified visual brand across all NCSL chapters, helping to build a stronger identity and earn public trust.

Additionally, the office plans to build partnerships with student newspapers, campus radio stations, and journalism groups at universities across North Carolina to help spread the word about legislative events, debates, and achievements.

Persephone is attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), majoring in Business Administration. While at UNCC, she works for the Campus Activities Board student organization, with the task of organizing creative and involving activities for students on campus to attend and foster community.
