Ellie Griffin

Major: Political Science

Ellie Griffin serves as the Director of Alumni Relations for the Office of the Student Governor. As the Director, Ellie maintains engagement and communication with alumni of NCSL. She coordinates outreach, highlights alumni successes, and strengthens the network of former members, working closely with the Secretary of Public Relations and the Board of Directors. One notable event that Ellie is planning for the upcoming legislative year is the alumni fundraising banquet. This is a project which will bring together current and former members of the organization and foster a sense of community and support throughout multiple generations of NCSL participants, demonstrating the organization’s history, connections, and dedication to civility and camaraderie. 

Ellie is a senior at Elon University, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice. Outside of NCSL, she is the small group director and women’s small group leader in InterVarsity at Elon, a college Christian ministry. Ellie was also a swim coach for three years, and continues to offer private lessons to beginner swimmers, teaching foundational skills and water safety awareness. Ellie specializes in constitutional law and plans to apply to law school after graduation, in hopes of continuing to pursue her passion for the legal field and constitutional interpretation. 

Fun fact: Ellie often spends her Saturday nights country line dancing with her boyfriend and friends.
